Attorney's Fees Issues

In general, parties bear their own attorney's fees. However, if either a contract or a statute permits the prevailing party to obtain attorney's fees from the other party, the trial court can award such fees. Appellate attorney's fees are also then available.

Krell v. Gray (B169593A) (2005)

California Court of Appeal
Second Appellate District, Division Five

Bruce represented the appellant on appeal and obtained a reversal of a restraining order. Details here. The relevant statute allows for a prevailing party to recover attorney's fees, and the Court of Appeal awarded Bruce his appellate attorney's fees.
